Metal Detecting Online

It seems as as if there are a lot of opinions on what a "great" hunt is. By 'hunt" I mean a gathering of metal detectorists at a location for a three day to a full week of activities. That is as broad as I can describe the different types of functions that the DIV and the Depot puts on regularly. Here at the MDO we want to plan the perfect hunt. Not the location or comments like "I need to find a CSA buckle"...but rather what would make a function really work well and be enjoyed by all.

Before I left (re: was thrown off) the Depot I was posting regularly on the Treasure Tek forum. We had a very successsful interchange of information on what we thought would make the perfect detector. Some of thse ideas were incorporated in detectors that are just now coming to market.

I believe we should now design the perfect plan for a hunt...and follow through with it....all the way to its obvious conclusion....A successful MDO HUNT..!!!

That is right..!!! We are going to plan and execute all the makings of the perfect hunt..!!! I will kind of lead the
discussion as I did with the plan for the perfect detector. Just so we can keep the conversations productive.

One thing up front before we even begin..This will be a non profit hunt with all the proceeds going back into the hunt.
If the MDO is involved with this project there will be no profit from the hunt for anyone..including myself. This site is almost totally funded out of my pocket and any other functions resulting from our group efforts will be handled the same way. As soon as something like this becomes a business with a profit margin.....people change. That ain't gonna happen here.

Alrighty then...we need to get startd. I am on the road so I cannot participate in the discussions until The weekend. What do ya'll think about this idea..?????
