You might be surprised to know what detectors "try one before you go off on one" I've used over the years.
Having to pay for an upgrade sucks. Call it what you wish, but a $1200 detector should be "sealed" prior to shipping. What about the other BH/F/T/FT products with "problems"? Perhaps you have some "spin" to account for those also!
