Howdy all...

I constantly scan the Classifieds on this forum and others looking for a detector that I might want to try. If you keep your eyes open you can find a detector now and then for a very good price. Or maybe an oldie but goodie that you rarely see offered for sale.
I do watch Ebay on occasion but to be honest you have a lot of competition for decent detectors there.
Are you familiar with craigslist? If you are you know that you have to check each local area's list in order to see what is offered. Craigslist is designed to compete with local newspaper Classifieds. In order to search you have to put in a city.
Try this....go to www.google.com and do the following search...."craigslist metal detector". What will come up is every metal detector offered for sale on craigslist across the entire US. Sellers using craigslist are normally not as savvy about detector prices as you will find elsewhere. You will have to contact the seller to see if he will ship it to you. Normally craigslist is used for local sales only. But...if he really wants to sell the detector...he will help you out.
So go ahead to www.craigslist.com and familiarize yourself with how it works. Then do the search I suggested and you may just find a great deal now and then.
Hopefully this suggestion does not upset the dealers....but since they don't have to support this site...I can pass this information on without worrying about losing sponsors.
Ain't ya glad we got this site??? I am...not growing as fast as I want but what the heck....I got to talk to you......and that is all I wanted to do anyhow... :) :) :) :D
