From what I've read in the owner's manual, no. It does not have a back light. Although I hoped to be using mine by now, it sounds like it shouldn't be much longer. According to a post on another Fisher site, FT apparently discovered some problems in the F70 boards and had to replace them. Glad they found the problem before mine got shipped!
