Why not run in the PF mode? Many here are reporting better depth than the DE mode. Of course if you are going for the hammered and quarter-staters, wouldn't the JE be worth a try? Also as to notch, isn't it just as easy to turn up the discriminate control? You can see the slash as it goes across the notch.
