Planted Beach Hunt

The wife and I drove 200+ miles from home to a site very close to Niagara Falls Ontario where a planted beach hunt started this morning. It's the Southern Ontario Beach Hunt and because of the high gas prices, participant numbers have dropped from about 125-130 to 91. Still, with tons of silver coins and over 800 prize tokens to be planted over the two days of the hunt, everyone should go home with a full pouch. Today alone, four detectors were won. Also, gold coins and small nuggets were won with tokens. Lots of silver rounds as well.

Got to get my butt in gear as in today's two hunts I did not find a single token and found on 30 silver dimes and 4 silver quarters. The bonus was that I found two loonies ($1 CDN coins) in the hunt field. They weren't planted but were beach blanket drops. Looking forward to tomorrow as the same number of prizes including detectors will be given away in two more hunts. Hope I can improve over today's efforts.
